Centering Prayer is a receptive method of Christian silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, a prayer in which we experience God’s presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself. The method of Centering Prayer will be presented and time allowed for practice of the prayer. Come and discover the meaning of, “Be still and know that I am God,” Psalm 46. When: Saturday, October 11, from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (light lunch included). Four weekly follow-up sessions will occur on a day and time determined by group consensus.
