Although your first responsibility is to your local church, the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas would love to collaborate with you on the various initiatives we have. Click here to make a general gift or choose from the available opportunities below.
Support the programs of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas by making a donation to the Bishop's Initiative funds, benefiting Camps & Conferences, the Curacy Program, TMI Clergy Scholarships, Disaster Relief, College & Young Adult Ministry, and the Bishop's Discretionary fund.
The World Missions Department seeks to engage every member and every church of the Diocese in the work of evangelism and mission. Our sustainable programs and partnerships help feed, educate and provide clean water to people around the world. Partner with World Missions to pray, give, and go to bless the world in Jesus' name.
Immigration Ministries seeks to share the realities of the immigrant experience, to provide education around immigration laws and policies, to support partner organizations serving migrants in our communities, and to help individuals and Episcopal congregations walk in love as we endeavor to follow Christ and serve our neighbors. Partner with Immigration Ministries to support our siblings-in-Christ.
St. Francis Chapel at Camp Capers: St. Francis Chapel’s beautiful stone columns and wooden benches have stood for over 75 years. The open air chapel is holy ground, a “thin place” where generations of children, youth, families, and adults have gathered to worship and to pray. This beloved sanctuary is badly in need of repair and expanded seating capacity. Join Bishop David Reed to repair and equip this treasured place for its next 75 years of ministry. Contact Rob Watson for more information.
Camps Annual Campaign: Your gift will help provide camp scholarships for children, youth, and families to attend programming at Camp Capers, Mustang Island Conference Center, and Duncan Park. Give to the Camps Annual Campaign as part of Camp Sunday, a day devoted to raising camper scholarship funds, sharing stories of faith formation and personal growth from camp, and inviting families and campers to sign up for camp sessions and retreats.
Mustang Island Conference Center Waves of Growth and Promise Campaign: Your gift will help complete the Waves of Growth & Promise Campaign, furnish the lodge bedrooms, kitchenettes and meeting rooms, and purchase benches and a bell for the new outdoor chapel.
World Missions Mother's Day Offering: The World Missions Mother's Day Offering is an opportunity to recognize all the women in our lives who nurture, teach, and lead with a gift in their honor or memory. Donations to the Mother's Day Offering support women and children worldwide.
World Missions Sustainers Circle: Please consider becoming a founding member of our new world missions sustainers circle. The past few years have been difficult for many people around the world and help in places we work is more critical than at any time that we can remember. The sustainers circle fund will help our partners around the globe continue developing sustainable programs that can make a difference.
Immigration & Refugee Ministries Father's Day Offering: The Father's Day Offering is an opportunity to honor fathers, father-figures, and mentors with a gift in their honor or memory. Donations to the Father's Day Offering will benefit the diocesan Immigration & Refugee Ministries, responding faithfully to the needs of our siblings-in-Christ.
Special Offering for Uvalde: The Episcopal Diocese of West Texas invites congregations to collect a special offering to benefit individuals and families affected by this tragedy. Donations sent to the diocesan office will be given to St. Philip's Church in Uvalde to disperse as needed for the relief and healing of individuals and their community.
Leave a legacy of love: include diocesan ministries in your estate planning. A planned gift to the Diocese would ensure the ministries you love continue for future generations. Contact Leslie Mixson, Development Assistant, at leslie.mixson@dwtx.org, for additional information on the diocesan planned giving program.
