Bishop David G. Read has declared Sunday, November 8 as World Mission Sunday for the Diocese of West Texas. He is asking congregations to please spend some time that day or the day of their choosing to highlight missions they are involved with or would like to be involved with. Since 1998, the World Missions Department has striven to fulfill the call to seek and serve Christ in all persons by partnering with ministries around the globe that focus on education, health, job training, family support, construction & building projects, refugee aid, post-disaster emergency relief and much more. Please click here for a list of various ministries supported by the diocese or here for the World Missions Catalog of Opportunities. A World Mission Sunday Prayers of the People list compiled by the Rev. Dr. Joyce Wilkinson can be found here.

Please contact Catherine Markette at catherine.markette@dwtx.org for speakers, ideas or more information.
