Let’s Gather and Celebrate Bishop David and Patti Reed: Oct. 7 at Camp Capers and Nov. 4 at St. Alban’s Harlingen

Grace to you and Peace.

I am reaching out to warmly invite you to the events celebrating the ministries of Bishop David and Patti Reed.

As you know, Bishop Reed will be retiring January 1, 2024. With skill, humor, compassion, and grace he has faithfully and graciously served the Lord and the Church in the role of bishop since 2006. It is a good and joyful thing to gather to celebrate and give thanks for the Reeds and their ministry to us in West Texas.

Therefore, I invite you to bring the whole family and come to Camp Capers at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 7 for a County Fair Church Picnic filled with food, fun, and an opportunity to thank the Reeds. Our afternoon will conclude with a special groundbreaking service for the restoration and enlargement of the St. Francis Chapel. The details and registration information are attached.

A second opportunity to celebrate the Reeds will be hosted by the Transition Committee at St. Alban's Episcopal Church and School in Harlingen, on Saturday, November 4 from 5:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. in the Reed Outreach Center. All are invited to an Evening Fiesta at St. Alban's for special evening reception and dinner in the Rio Grande Valley.

I look forward to seeing you there.

+David
