Spiritual Retreat in Recovery #118

Join us for a weekend retreat at Mustang Island Conference Center September 30- October 2, 2022. Spiritual Retreats in Recovery provides a safe place to deepen one’s spiritual journey - open to all in recovery from alcoholism or other abuses, as well as to families and friends affected by the disease of addiction. All members of twelve-step programs (AA, Al-anon, NA, CA, ACA, etc.) are welcome to share their experience, strength, and hope with each other in a community of love and support, exploring what it was like, what happened, and what we are like now.

Spiritual Leaders the Revs. Carrie Guerra (Rector of St. Francis Episcopal Church in San Antonio) and Joanna Siebert (Deacon at St. Mark’s Episcopal in Little Rock) will guide us through the retreat’s recovery theme, Daily Spiritual Guides for Practicing and Living the 11th Step. In addition to their estimable careers as clerics, both have extensive professional involvement and history with programs of recovery. On-site services, topical spiritual insight, and pastoral care are provided. Ample time is set aside for break-out workshops as well as individual exploration. All friends in recovery are welcome, and no church affiliation is required.

On-site COVID protocol will be observed. Our Mustang Island Conference Center affords warm hospitality, comfortable lodging, delicious food, and thoughtful presentations in this beautiful Texas Gulf Coast setting. While on-site accommodations are limited, commuters may lodge elsewhere and attend for the reduced Day Rate.
