55th Annual Diocesan Silent Retreat: SHIPWRECKS, BURIED TREASURE, AND FAR HORIZONS

November 12-15, 2026
Mustang Island Conference Center, Port Aransas
SHIPWRECKS, BURIED TREASURE, AND FAR HORIZONS
Retreat Conductor:
The Rt. Rev. David Reed, D.D.
Tenth Bishop of the Diocese of West Texas
Amid the beauty of Mustang Island, we will consider the promises and predicaments of following Jesus these days. With Holy Scripture as our landscape—and seascape—we will navigate through Bible stories, music, worship, Gulf Coast tales, and the “Book of Nature” into the safe harbor of the Retreat’s abundant silence.
Come rain or shine, cold blue norther or last heatwave of the season, we will trust the Holy Spirit to guide us into renewed awe and wonder in the beauty and power of God’s creation. Whether landlubbers or old salts, pirate wannabes or defenders of the Crown, we come together in this retreat as pilgrims in need of grace and peace, seeking shelter from the storms.
RETREAT FEE: $425.00
MINIMUM DEPOSIT TO REGISTER: $175.00 (Includes Thursday-Sunday lodging in an individual room and 8 meals). Shared rooms by request with a designated roommate.
Registration closes Friday, October 30, 2026
