Duncan Park, Colorado

Duncan Park is the Diocese of West Texas's mountain top retreat center, located 20 miles west of Boulder, Colorado. Existing completely off-the-grid with solar panels providing electricity, no cell phone service or wireless internet, and water pumped from the nearby creek, this facility captures the rugged beauty of the surrounding mountains and allows for a true respite from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Although it's many miles from our diocese, Duncan Park is at the heart of the Camps & Conferences Department's mission to provide spaces for people to gather, creating opportunities for people to deepen their faith, experience the love of God in community, and feel empowered to share this grace with their home parishes and neighbors.

The Summer Programs at Duncan Park offer opportunities for people with a variety of ages and experience levels in sessions for high school youth, college students, and adults. All diocesan camps include round trip airfare from San Antonio to Denver, where an Adventure Guide will meet the group and drive them to Duncan Park. Once the leaves start changing colors, Duncan Park is open for retreat reservations from churches, families, and other groups that want to host a weekend for people to reconnect with each other, with the beauty of God's creation, and with their relationship with Christ.

Contact Laura K McGrew, laura.kean@dwtx.org, for more information about Duncan Park's calendar and retreat options.
