Douglass Scholarship Applications Open for 2021-2022

Applications are now being accepted for educational scholarships from the Douglass Foundation Scholarship Program for the 2021-2022 academic year. These scholarships are offered to qualified seminarians as well as graduate-level or post graduate-level students.

The Douglass Foundation Scholarship Program seeks to encourage qualified college graduates to pursue advanced degrees in the fields of theology, business, and psychology. The first Douglass Scholarships were administered by the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas in 2000, and since then the program has awarded $689,300 in scholarships to forty-one recipients. Applicants must be active members of an Episcopal church in the Diocese of West Texas, be accepted in a program of graduate study, show a potential for excellence, be of high moral character, and demonstrate financial need and merit. Scholarships are granted to individuals for one year, with opportunities to reapply in subsequent years.

The deadline for 2021-2022 applications is Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Only completed applications will be accepted. Click here to open the 2021-2022 Application Form; returning applicants should click here to complete the 2021-2022 Re-Application Form. All applications will be reviewed by the Douglass Scholarship Committee, which includes past scholarship recipients, clergy, and lay leaders from the Diocese.
