2023 World Missions Mother's Day Offering

Join World Missions and the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas as we wish a happy Mother's Day to all the mothers, mentors, and friends who enrich our lives.

On Sunday, May 14, the Rt. Rev. David M. Reed invites congregations take up a special World Missions Mother's Day Offering, focusing on the global impact of this gift and raising awareness of the mission partnerships supported by the local church and the Diocese. The annual World Missions Mother's Day Offering is an opportunity to recognize the women in our lives who nurture, teach, and lead with a gift in their honor or memory.

This year, in honor of Mother's Day and in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the World Missions Department, donations will go towards building a one room cinder block house for a widow and her children in Guatemala. Through the Mother’s Day Offering, and other giving opportunities, World Missions’ goal is build the home and and include solar lights, water filter and bucket, bunk bed, a pila for water collection and washing, an ONIL block stove, basic family staples, and other items.

To make a contribution to honor your favorite mom, mentor, or friend, visit the World Missions Giving page at dwtx.org/give and select Mother's Day Giving. You may also give online by texting "MothersDay" to (210) 796-6805 or send a check made out to the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, 111 Torcido Drive, San Antonio, TX 78209, putting Mother's Day on the memo line.

Request a postcard (or two!) from World Missions to let the important women in your life know you've made an online donation to the World Missions Mother's Day Offering in her honor.
