NEW CLERGY
St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, Uvalde has called the Rev. Tanner Ambs as their new rector. Rev. Ambs formerly served as Curate at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in San Antonio. He began his ministry on Sunday, July 5.
The Rev. Ian Hyde has been called to serve as Associate Rector of Formation at Christ Church San Antonio. Previously, Rev. Hyde served as rector of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Terrell, Texas. Rev. Hyde began his ministry at Christ Church on July 1.
Christ Church, Laredo, has called the Rev. Hector Curz Torres as their new rector. Rev. Torres formerly served as Curate at St. John’s Episcopal Church in McAllen. He began his ministry at Christ Church on Sunday, August 2.
ORDINATIONS
The Rev. Maggie Paul was ordained to the Sacred Order of Deacon on Saturday, June 6 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Raleigh in North Carolina. She began her Curacy at St. Helena’s in Boerne on July 1st.
CELBRATIONS OF MINISTRY AND INSTALLATIONS
The Rev. Dee Bright was installed as Rector of Episcopal Church of the Redeemer on Thursday, August 20.
The Rev. Tanner Ambs was installed as Rector of St. Philip’s, Uvalde on Wednesday, August 26.
