ST. PETER'S, KERRVILLE
As Hill Country communities grapple with the pain of immeasurable loss resulting from the July 4, 2025 flood, St. Peter’s in Kerrville is responding by opening their campus and expanding the services they offer. The church continues with its regular 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday and Wednesday evening Eucharist service. Recently, the church has been a place where individuals can retrieve personal items lost in the flood and receive prayers and comfort as they undergo this emotional process.
Additionally, St. Peter’s. Labyrinth provides a place for reflection and prayer. Built by volunteers in 1999 as a gift to the community, members and visitors are invited to walk it as a path of prayer, introspection, healing, and joy.
HUNT POP UP SANCTUARY
God is with us always and everywhere.
Recognizing the need for a sanctuary beyond their church, clergy and lay leaders of St. Peter’s in Kerrville moved swiftly to coordinate a space in Hunt to minister to those needing spiritual solace. On Sunday, July 20, 2025, St. Peter’s conducted their first service in the Hunt and Ingram area. More than seventy people gathered under the outdoor pavilion of the Hunt Preservation Society, surrounded by debris and mud, to mark the occasion with Holy Eucharist, songs of praise, prayers for healing, and community fellowship. Since that first service, the Sunday attendance has averaged 80 people and may be a place for a potential church plant.
