The Rt. Rev. Dr. David G. Read, D.D., Bishop of West Texas, announces "Let Love be Genuine" from Romans 12:9 as the Council 2026 Theme. Citing his reasons for selecting this theme, he shared that we are to have authentic love for one another as Jesus has commanded us to do, both within and outside of the church. Bishop Read went on to say that this it especially important to model Christian love in challenging times such as those that exist today.
