Ready to take your Godly Play journey to the next level as a Godly Play teacher in a school setting? We would love to have you join us for this hybrid Godly Play in Schools Core Training! This 16-hour training will take place over one full day at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church & School in San Antonio and four additional 2-Hour sessions over Zoom.  Abby Richards, Licensed Godly Play Trainer, will lead us in this meaningful and refreshing retreat-style training. Abby, a former Minister to Youth and Children in the DWTX, has 20 years of experience teaching Godly Play, including 6 ½ years in a school setting leading Godly Play in a program that grew to 500 students!  

This training will teach you the ins and outs of this remarkable program, how it came to be, including its core components and philosophies, and take you on a deep dive into the different genres of Godly Play stories. We will focus specifically on how this program looks in a school setting, including the unique challenges, adaptations, and joys of Godly Play in this environment. Participants will leave with the confidence to begin or continue a Godly Play program, to tell stories in the style of Godly Play, and to make changes, when needed, specific to their school setting.
