The diocesan Department of Communications strives to connect individuals to the life and activates of the diocese, to communicate essential information for full engagement with diocesan ministries, and to provide support to diocesan ministries and congregational communications.
Email Subscriptions are available diocesan leadership and communicants, utilized to provide pertinent information based on roles and interests. A complete list of publicly available email subscription options, including the Diocesan Weekly E-News and several ministries of the Diocese, is available at dwtx.org/subscribe. Clergy, Church Office Staff, and Elected Officers of the Diocese are automatically subscribed to the Diocesan General Interest List, Weekly E-News, and a series of closed lists for communications from the diocesan office.
As Diocesan leadership, we invite you to encourage your congregants as much as possible to subscribe to receive diocesan email communications based on their interests, by directing them to dwtx.org/subscribe.
The newly structured diocesan blog, News & Stories, will feature stories, announcements, press releases, Bishop's letters, and more. Readers may filter blog posts by selecting a category from the list found just below the main header. Blog categories include All, Events Announcements, From the Bishop, Guest Author,News & Stories, and Resources & Curricula. Blogs may also be viewed by selecting a Tag from the "Filter by Tag" dropdown list. Tags provide more specific groupings based on location, age group, season, or department, and include options like Duncan Park, World Missions, Council, COVID-19, EpiscopalSchools, Vital UM, etc.
