"Unfolding" - A New Online Study from the Wisdom Years Ministry

By Marjorie George, Adult Christian Formation & Wisdom Years Ministry

In his poem "Santiago," David Whyte describes the spiritual journey as “the road seen, then not seen” - sometimes revealing the way we should take; sometimes dropping away and leaving us to walk on thin air. Our path, it seems, reveals itself as we travel the journey. Our part is to recognize the hand of God steadying us and beckoning us forward. In our study of “Unfolding,” we will acknowledge and learn to navigate the road that urges us on at this time of our lives, though we may not always see the way ahead clearly.

Beginning May 27, join the Wisdom Years group for four weeks to read from Nancy J. Hill's book, Unfolding: Slow Down, Drop In, Dare More, then gather on Zoom each Thursday from 4:00 to 5:15 p.m. to offer thoughts and reflections on how Hill's essays inform our unfolding lives.

This free, online study is offered by The Wisdom Years, a ministry of those in the last third of their lives, but is open to people of all ages. We welcome people of all faiths. Participants can Contact Carla Pineda, from St. Mark's Bookstore, to order the book, at carlaleedpineda@gmail.com. or search for the book under its full title online or in local bookstores.

If you have questions or to reserve your spot in the study, email Marjorie George, at marjorie.george@dwtx.org. Leaders for the study will be Marjorie George Carla Pineda, and the Rev. Patricia Riggins  If you want to know more before you commit, contact any of them.
