Save the Date for Camp Sunday: February 5, 2023
The Rt. Rev. David Reed has designated February 5, the Fifth Sunday after the Epiphany, as Camp Sunday 2023. Camp Sunday is a time to share stories of the transformational love and community that takes place at our diocesan camping programs, to invite families and campers to sign up for sessions of Summer Camp or Family Camp at Camp Capers, Mustang Island Conference Center, and Duncan Park, and to raise scholarship funds.
Each year, approximately one-third of all camper families rely on partial or full scholarships in order to participate in this vibrant ministry of our diocese. Please mark your church calendar to celebrate this special Sunday. Let the appointed Lectionary readings for Sunday, February 5 help you tell these stories. Use the provided Camp Sunday Graphic, Camps 2023 Flyer, Camps and Conferences video, and Camp Sunday Digital Poster to promote Camp Sunday in your congregation and spread the good news about the ministry of camps and conferences in West Texas. Congregations and schools are invited to share videos highlighting the unique ministry of the diocesan camping programs at Camp Capers, Mustang Island Conference Center, and Duncan Park with their members to help parents and campers learn more about each program.

There are three ways for congregations and individuals to give to the Camps Annual Campaign:

- Mail a check to the diocesan office*, made out to "DWTX" and labeled "Camp Sunday."
