Make plans to head back to the Hill Country to celebrate Camp Capers 75th Anniversary October 7 - 9 !
The Rt. Rev. David Reed, the Camps & Conferences staff, and the 75th Anniversary Committee are excited to welcome back Camp Capers Alumni, retreat participants, parents, supporters, and former staff for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration. Join fellow campers to reminisce, tell stories and enjoy a magical weekend together to honor 75 years of transformative experiences for campers of all ages.
The committee is happy to announce Stacy Dowdy as the teacher for the Saturday morning Teaching Session at 10:00 a.m. The topic for her session will be, "The Heart of Camps: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.” Other 75th Celebration weekend activities will include hayride campus tours, as well as traditional camp activities like kayaking, Arts & Crafts, Compline service, Sunday Chapel, and plenty of free time with camp friends - new and old.
Shannon Gill, Committee Co-Chair, shares, "I’m excited for everyone to see the growth and all of the improvements that have taken place over the years. The buildings may change, but it's still Capers. Even though the pool may not be where it was when I was there, it’s still camp and it’s still pure love."
