Episcopal Relief & Development Supports Winter Storm Response Efforts

Through the generosity of Episcopal Relief & Development, $20,000 in grant funding is available to support local church response to the recent winter storms. Awarded to individual congregations within the Diocese of West Texas, these emergency grants must be used to support outreach ministries to the neediest members of the community who were so impacted by the February winter weather. Churches must use funds to provide food, water, shelter, utility assistance, household goods and supplies, or other emergency needs related to the storm. Priority will be given to the 24 counties in the diocese which have been declared federal disaster areas.*

Final grant amounts to congregations will be based on the number of applicants, but initial amounts will be awarded beginning Friday, February 26.
