"Waiting with All Creation:" Online Advent Study with the Wisdom Years Ministry

This Advent, The Wisdom Years community will will learn from the animals as we read Gayle Boss’s splendid Advent book of daily meditations All Creation Waits.  We will gather on three Thursdays – Dec. 7, 14, and 21 – at 4 p.m. (Central time) by Zoom for an hour of conversation. We will discover that it is in the silence and stillness of the dark days of winter that a new thing is made ready to be born.  To join the Zoom gatherings, send an email to Marjorie George at marjoriegeorge62@gmail.com.

This Advent, we will appropriate the wisdom of nature and wait quietly but assuredly for the magnificent thing to happen. The God of all creation – the one who by his very word created the moon and the stars and every living, breathing creature on the earth – comes among us to show us the kingdom he intends for his people.

This Advent, The Wisdom Years Ministry will read Gayle Boss’s splendid Advent book of daily meditations All Creation Waits, then gather on Thursdays beginning December 7 at 4:00 p.m. CDT via Zoom for an hour of conversation. In addition, participants can receive an optional daily text message of Advent thoughts and inspiration.

There is no charge for the study, but participants will need to purchase their own book. It is available at St. Mark’s Bookstore at stmarksbookstore.com or other book retailers. Scholarships are available for book purchase.
