End of Year Reports

All year-end reports (both Parochial Reports and Diocesan Year-End Reports) are available for completion online-only. It is very important to complete and submit all forms by February 1st each year. All reports will be accessible using the links below, once available.

The Episcopal Church Parochial Report

All workbooks and forms, provided by The Episcopal Church at the link below, help gather information prior to entering it online; final Parochial Report must be entered online, printed, and mailed to Anna Tarver, Director of Finance (DWTX; PO Box 6885; San Antonio, TX 78209 or anna.tarver@dwtx.org).

Diocesan YEar-End Reports

Previously, the diocesan reports have been submitted online in several parts. This year, the process for reporting this information to the diocese has been adjusted to simplify reporting for churches. All churches must complete each year-end report.

  • Necrology from 2023the Necrology form is used to provide the names of those who died in 2022 and served their churches and the diocese as Vestry/Bishop's Committee members; as Delegates or Alternates to Council; as elected leaders of the Diocese; as Clergy and members of Clergy families.
  • Audit Documentation for Workers Compensation from Church & School: All churches must send copies of Forms W-2, W-3, and 1099, plus all quarterly 941 Forms to Canon Caroline Mowen, at caroline.mowen@dwtx.org.
  • Confirmation and Changes to Leadership and Staff: Congregations will receive a list of the staff and lay leadership information saved in the diocesan records at the start of the year to be updated and returned to the diocesan office.

Financial Audit

The Episcopal Church Canons require that all churches be audited annually. This requirement covers not only the operating accounts of the church, but also the restricted, endowment and property funds, a priest's Discretionary Fund, and the accounts of any ancillary groups, like the Altar Guild. No church money is exempt from the requirement of an audit.
