54.º Retiro Anual Diocesano en Silencio
Desde 1972, la Sociedad de Retiros de la Diócesis de Texas Occidental organiza cada año un retiro en silencio para hombres y mujeres. Este retiro anual es el ministerio no parroquial más antiguo de la diócesis y el único retiro diocesano en el que el silencio es la principal práctica espiritual.
El retiro de 2025 se celebrará en el Centro de Conferencias Mustang Island, en Port Aransas, del 13 al 16 de noviembre, y el director del retiro será el reverendo Rich Nelson, de St. Peter's, Kerrville.
El reverendo Nelson es sacerdote episcopal, escritor, director espiritual y conferenciante. Actualmente es el director fundador de The Community of Saints Francis and Clare, una comunidad de discipulado intencional para personas de entre 20 y 30 años que viven una vida de oración, estudio y servicio, ubicada en la iglesia episcopal de St. Peter's, en Kerrville, Texas. Los eventos son fines de semana de renovación espiritual para estudiantes de secundaria mayores, dirigidos por sus compañeros. Cualquier estudiante de 10.º a 12.º grado puede asistir. También puede asistir un pequeño número de adultos. Los fines de semana suelen llenarse rápidamente, ¡así que no te demores! Cada Happening comienza el viernes por la tarde a las 7:00 p. m. en punto y termina alrededor de las 4:00 p. m. del domingo. Es un evento cerrado, así que prepárate para quedarte todo el fin de semana.
Las inscripciones para los que participan por primera vez serán limitadas. Como de costumbre, se supervisará de cerca la lista de espera para asegurarse de que, si alguien no puede asistir, se invite a inscribirse a la siguiente persona en la lista.
El costo de la inscripción es de 60 dólares, y se debe pagar un depósito para confirmar la inscripción. Hay becas disponibles.

A special service-oriented weekend designed as an opportunity to give back and beautify Camp Capers.
This is a great opportunity for high school students to earn service hours. If you are unable to stay the whole weekend, we invite you to come for the day on Saturday.Enjoy some fun activities in the beautiful Hill Country, and participate in fellowship and worship. Work projects may include grounds clean-up, trail maintenance, stocking firewood, painting, small construction projects, landscaping, and gardening.
Projects will vary based on volunteer skills and specific needs around Camp Capers.All are welcome to come get their hands dirty in work and play at their Hill Country home on the banks of the Guadalupe River.Stay in a cabin or campout under the stars! All meals and lodging included.
Retreat cost $75 for weekend - Saturday only - $35.00
Scholarships are available for this retreat.
