Announcing Upcoming Family Retreat Opportunities

New Camp Capers Family Retreats

Beginning Thursday, July 16 Camp Capers will host seven brand-new Family Retreats for any family needing time to disconnect from the stresses of the world and reconnect with one another. These Family Retreats will be marked by time spent enjoying the beauty of the Texas Hill Country, morning and evening worship, and plenty of traditional Camp Capers activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Family groups may reserve a cabin or lodge room, then choose the activities they would like to participate in together, including kayaking and tubing on the Guadalupe River, the Big Swing and Climbing Wall on the Ropes Course, arts and crafts, Disc Golf, fishing, pool time, family campfires, and more.

Throughout the retreat, comprehensive health and safety guidelines will be in place to protect our guests and camp staff. Wearing fabric masks will be required inside all buildings - except family's accommodations, only members of the same household will share lodging, physical distancing will be observed, as well as proper hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, and sanitization of shared spaces.

Registration for a family of four staying in the Lodge costs $825 and includes lodging, meals (dinner on first day through breakfast on last day), and activities; staying in the Cabins costs $765 for a family of four. The complete list of rates, full schedule, and more information is located on the Family Retreat flyer, linked below.

Online registration will be available at dwtx.org/capers, beginning Friday, July 10 at 5:00 p.m. For more information, contact Camp Capers, at camp.capers@dwtx.org.
