

Built in 1926, St. John's Chapel located in Chapel House on the grounds of Cathedral Park, where the Diocese of West Texas is based. Originally, the living room of the residence of G.A.C. Halff, located on the Halff estate, the property was purchased by Flora (Flo) Cameron Kampmann and donated in 1958 to The Episcopal Diocese of West Texas. Flo had close connections to the diocese as her mother was the wife of the Rt. Rev. Everett Holland Jones, 4th Bishop of West Texas.
A beautiful and sacred space, St. John's has hosted many weddings, funerals, baptisms, and confirmations. Eucharist is held at St. John's every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m presided by one of the diocese's bishops on most occasions. All are welcome to worship and visit the chapel.
