On behalf of St. Philip’s Church and School, Beeville, St. Francis, Victoria, and Trinity Episcopal Church and School, Victoria, we invite you to the 122nd Council of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas. Council will convene at the Hilliard Conference Center in Corpus Christi (previously named American Bank Center) on Thursday, February 26, and will conclude around noon on Saturday, February 28.
Our Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Dr. David G. Read, D.D., has chosen “Let Love Be Genuine” -Romans 12:9 as the theme for Council. Genuine love is a selfless love. It is a conscious and consistent call for us to humble ourselves and live harmoniously with one another. May our time together at Council inspire us to be active and intentional in how we live out God’s call of grace and mercy for every human being and all creation.
We speak for everyone at St. Philip’s, St. Francis, and Trinity that it is our privilege to be your host congregations for Council. Co-chairs Carol Green, Melanie Klotzman and Susan Hall-Angerstein are working with committee chairs and others from their congregations to help create a special setting to share joy, inspiration, and fellowship as we gather.
