The Diocese of West Texas will hold its 122^nd Annual Council meeting at the  Hilliard Center, Corpus Christi Texas Thursday, February 26 through Saturday, February 28.

Hotel Reservations Open for Council 2026

Omni Hotel, Corpus Christi

The Episcopal Diocese of West Texas has reserved a block of rooms in the Omni Hotel for clergy, delegates and alternate delegates, and guests attending Council 2026.

Room reservations must be completed by February 3, 2026 by using the

Omni Corpus Christi reservation website The cost is $141 per night plus fees and taxes. Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid a $167.87 penalty fee. A reduced parking rate of $5.00 per vehicle per night for self-parking is available. Valet parking is $25.00 per night.

Please adjust the reservation start and end dates to reflect your travel preferences before making your reservation. Council 2026 will begin Thursday, February 26 and conclude Saturday, February 28. The default website reservation dates at the block rate begin prior to Council on February 21 and are available to extend through March 4 to accommodate personal travel preferences. Enter your arrival date and select "Find Dates". This will bring up a calendar where you can select the dates for your stay.

Save the Date for the 2026 Pre-Council Meetings

The Diocese of West Texas will host Zoom Pre-Council meetings as noted below:

• Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. - Eastern, Northeastern, Western & Northern Convocations
• Monday, February 2, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. - Valley & Southern Convocations
• Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. - Central Convocation
  

These online meetings are required for clergy, lay delegates, and lay alternates for Council 2026. Meeting participants will practice using the online voting system and review business items including the proposed budgets, resolutions, and nominations for elected offices of the diocese. Login information for meetings will be sent directly to clergy and delegates closer to the date of the meeting.
