Join World Missions on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. for Missions Café: A Visit to Honduras, the first in its new lunchtime webinar series. Missions Café: A Visit to Honduras will feature our mission partnerships in Honduras and presentations from Dr. Riva Heron, the Rev. Brien Koehler, and Mrs. Terry Koehler, mission team leaders in the Diocese of West Texas. Mark your calendars and click here to sign up for the January 2021 Missions Café, today.
Dr. Heron is a San Antonio veterinarian and the director of Love Honduras Veterinary and Public Health Ministries, a nonprofit whose goal is to help communities isolated in the remote mountains in Honduras by providing livestock vaccinations, veterinary care, personal hygiene kits, and other public health services. The Koehlers have been very active in mission work all over the world including in Honduras with the Hilos de Dios Embroidery Ministry, helping women take care of their families, as well as Educatados, also known as Saturday School, which provides free education for children in 1st - 6th grades.
Beginning in January 2021, the World Missions Department will offer a free, virtual informational webinar every other month. Each Missions Café will highlight a specific region or country and our partners and their ministries located there. Each speaker will introduce their mission, the needs of the people they serve, local customs and culture, and how the ministry is making a positive difference on the community. Each session will aim to educate, entertain and motivate participants.
