Mid-Winter Camp
Revised: January 6, 2021
This year, Camp Capers is adjusting our Mid-Winter program in order to offer a fun and faith-filled camp experience while keeping our campers and camp community safe and healthy. All youth (3rd through 12th grade) are invited to attend an all-day, Saturday camp program led by Camp Capers staff and chaplains, with Camp Games, Arts & Crafts, Spiritual Teachings, Eucharist, CHAOS, Cabin Devotionals, and more from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, January 23.
This all-ages event will be led by the Rev. Reagan Gonzalez and the Rev. Brian Fox. Jr. High and Primary age campers will dive into Galatians 3:26-29 and explore the love that God has for each of us as disciples of Christ. Sr. High youth will explore the diocesan scripture verse for 2021, from Luke 10, "Nevertheless the Kingdom has come near."
Parents don’t let your kids have all the fun! Families can sign up to spend both Friday and/or Saturday night at camp. While your camper enjoys their favorite Camp Capers activities, you can relax and take in the beauty of the Texas Hill Country by exploring the wonderful, peaceful surroundings of Camp Capers or traveling to nearby attractions in Boerne, Fredericksburg, Comfort, or Kerrville. Meals are included with overnight reservations from Friday dinner to Sunday breakfast. Overnight family registration includes lodging for campers, but youth must also sign up for the Mid-Winter Day Camp programming.
