Camp Capers Labor Day Weekend Family Retreat

Labor Day is a holiday recognizing the American workers and their contributions to our country; it’s also a time of family gatherings to mark the end of summer with picnics, cook-outs, pool parties, parades, festivals and fireworks!

Since this summer looks a bit different why not celebrate it with a new tradition?! Bring your family out to your hill country getaway, Camp Capers! Your family can choose the activities they want to participate in: enjoy river fishing lessons, take a dip in the pool, climb the Rockwall, take a ride on the Giant Swing, kayak or tube on the Guadalupe River, get creative in Arts & Crafts, have fun with picnic games, enjoy a BBQ at the Barn, read a book, or simply take a nap! We’ll take care of the cooking and clean up, while your family gets to choose their own adventure.

Each day will conclude with an end-of-day prayer service called Compline and optional evening activity like Lawn Games, Bring-Your-Own-Board-Game Hour, Campfire and S’mores, HumanClue, and more.

Staying safe and healthy is our #1 goal. Families will sign up for activities ahead of time, and receive your own specialized schedule, reserving activities for one family at a time to enjoy. Don’t forget to bring your masks and any board games or cards you may want to play while at Camp Capers! Need to stay connected? Wireless internet hotspots are available around camp, to allow guests to "work from camp."

Throughout the retreat, comprehensive health and safety guidelines will be in place to protect our guests and camp staff. Wearing fabric masks will be required inside all buildings (except family's accommodations), only members of the same household will share lodging, physical distancing will be observed, as well as proper hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, and sanitization of shared spaces.
