TMI students lend a hand at Good Sam center

Members of the Middle School Student Council of TMI Episcopal led a drive to collect pantry items and children’s gifts for the families served by Good Samaritan Community Services.

tmi-gscs.pngAll middle-school students were invited to contribute food, household needs and art supplies, which the Student Council representatives delivered to the Good Samaritan Center at 1600 Saltillo St.

The visiting students also helped with service projects, cleaning up some areas and restocking the pantry.

Established in 1951 by the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, Good Samaritan provides programs to help children, youth, families and the elderly overcome the impact of poverty, operating six regional sites:  San Antonio/West Side, San Antonio/Northeast, Brownsville, Rio Grande Valley, Sonora and Wimberley.
