TMI student aids charity shop for Eagle project

Sealy Wray, a rising senior at TMI Episcopal, has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest attainable in the Boy Scouts of America.

For his Eagle project, he installed a flag pole for the Green Door Thrift Shop, 1030 Nacogdoches Road, that lets customers know when the volunteer-run shop is open. Wray passed his Rough Rider District Eagle Board of Review on April 18 and will officially receive his Eagle rank at a troop Court of Honor in the fall.

Planning and leading a service project of benefit to the Scout’s community is a major requirement for Eagle rank. The Green Door is operated by the Women of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in San Antonio; its proceeds support nonprofit organizations dedicated to benevolent and humanitarian efforts.
