Fischer Commons (main conference room):

Mustang Island Conference Center's meeting spaces are designed to accommodate a variety of seating and table configurations. Each space is complemented by relaxing and restorative views. The largest indoor space is Fischer Commons. Audio / visual equipment (DVD/VCR) including a sound system, microphone, and overhead LCD projector with screen are available in Fischer Commons, along with a wireless Internet connection.

Small Meeting Rooms:

Many groups prefer a smaller meeting area; there are three available, overlooking the picturesque dunes and blue water of the Gulf. These small meeting spaces can accommodate up to twelve guests with tables and chairs. More can be accommodated without tables. All rooms have wireless internet connection.

Casa de la Playa:

Casa de la Playa is a larger room and is available to members of the Diocese of West Texas congregation for an individual spiritual retreat or a couple's spiritual retreat. It includes the following: king-size bed, kitchen and table, sofa, desk, towels, linens and cassette/CD player. Enjoy your view of sunrises over the Gulf of Mexico from your room or while sitting on your private deck. While on retreat, you prepare your own meals or enjoy dining in Port Aransas. Those staying in Casa de la Playa do not join other guests for meals or activities. Contact Laura Woodall for more information and available dates.

Dining Room:

The Dining Room is a large multi purpose area for friends and family to gather for meals during their stay. One of the great draws to the conference center is the outstanding food. Homemade meals are prepared by Kathy Jansen, beloved Food Services Director, using the freshest ingredients and prepared with love. The Dining Room can easily accommodate 100 diners seated at round tables, and could also be reconfigured as a meeting space or break-out discussion room.

Outdoor Areas:

Settle into one of the many outdoor sitting areas to visit with friends or to enjoy a good book (Bring that book from your nightstand that you haven't had time to finish or select an excellent title, magazine, or other reading material from our bookshelf.) At day's end, join other guests on the deck to witness the glorious sunset.

The Beach:

Mustang Island Conference Center is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico. Follow the boardwalk through the natural, barrier island dunes to our quiet, expansive, and well-maintained beach. Staff will set up complimentary beach umbrellas, at your request. Take a nap or read a book as you listen to the ocean and enjoy the fresh breeze.

We offer a campfire area for your enjoyment and will provide everything you need to experience sunset and s'mores on the beach.
