Check-in is held at the Centrum from 3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on the first day of camp. Gates will not open until 2:00 on registration day, so please do not arrive before that time. Traffic outside the gate creates serious safety issues. No campers will be allowed to register early. Please do not request exceptions. Late arrivals are to go directly to the camp office. Camp Capers is not responsible for campers until they are checked in.
* Campers are expected to stay at camp for the duration of the session. They will not be allowed to leave for other activities and then return back to the same camp session. Graduating seniors with conflicts should call Stacy Dowdy or Rob Watson at 888-824-5387.
Each camper’s health and safety is an extremely important part of camp. Camp Capers, licensed by the Texas Department of Health, is highly committed to excellence and safety. We strive to provide safe, healthy living facilities for your child and the best possible leadership and supervision. A staff member is employed to care for ill or injured campers and to distribute medicines. For the health and safety of every camper, a current health form must accompany the registration form. Our nurses review all forms and will see all campers at check-in. The nurses who are in residence at all times must dispense all prescription and over-the-counter medication. Please note: Camp Capers has fire ants and bees on the property. Severe allergies must be noted on the Health History form.

We are fully conscious of our great responsibility in the care of your child. In the case of any emergency, either physical or otherwise, you will be notified promptly. Consequently, we do not allow personal phone calls, either incoming or outgoing, or personal visitation during the camp session due to the interruption to the schedule and the effect on camper morale. Please do not send cell phones with your child as they are strictly prohibited and will be confiscated and only returned upon departure on the final day. Responsible care of beds, doors, windows, trees, etc. is expected of all campers. Articles willfully destroyed will be charged to campers or their parents.
Cabin assignments are made for each session as best meets the needs of the camp and to assist in making new friends. When friends request to be placed in the same cabin, instant cliques are created. We do not feel that is in the best interest of all the campers. As a result, we will not take cabin requests.
