Parent & Camper Information

Online Registration & Forms:

Parents are encouraged to register their child online, click here.  You will be asked to fill out electronic forms as you register your camper.
* All forms must be received two weeks prior to check in.

Please click here for some helpful tips that will make Camp Capers more enjoyable for you and your child before their session begins.

Arrival Time:

Check-in is held at the Centrum at 4:00 p.m. on the first day of camp.  Gates will not open until 4:00 on registration day, so please do not arrive before that time.  Traffic outside the gate creates serious safety issues.  No campers will be allowed to register early.  Please do not request exceptions.  Late arrivals are to go directly to the camp office. Camp Capers is not responsible for campers until they are checked in.

* Campers are expected to stay at camp for the duration of the session.  They will not be allowed to leave for other activities and then return back to the same camp session.  Graduating seniors with conflicts should call Stacy Dowdy or Rob Watson at 888-824-5387.

Departure Procedure:

Every camp session ends with a Closing Worship Service which begins at 10 a.m. on the last day.  Parents, family, and friends are encouraged to attend.  Families may arrive between 9 and 10 a.m. in order to help campers pack belongings.   Please be sure to gather all of the camper’s belongings before you leave.  Camp Capers is not responsible for items left behind.  Lost & Found items will be kept at Camp Capers for 30 days after the last summer session.   In order to insure the safety and security of our summer campers, the following procedure will be used for picking up campers each session.  At registration, the name of the person authorized to pick up the camper on the last day will be written on a “Bye-bye Sheet.”  The designated pick-up person must check out with the Cabin Counselor and sign the sheet.  Should circumstances necessitate a change of designated pick-up person, Camp Capers must receive written instructions to that effect, including the name of the new designated pick-up personSuch notice must include the signature of the original designated pick-up person, and can be sent via fax to Camp Capers at 830-995-2393.  If there is any reason to suspect a person may attempt unauthorized pick-up of a camper, please notify Camp Capers in writing using the above fax number.

Health & Safety:

Each camper’s health and safety is an extremely important part of camp.  Camp Capers, licensed by the Texas Department of Health, is highly committed to excellence and safety.  We strive to provide safe, healthy living facilities for your child and the best possible leadership and supervision.  A staff member is employed to care for ill or injured campers and to distribute medicines.  For the health and safety of every camper, a current health form must accompany the registration form.  Our nurses review all forms and will see all campers at check-in.  The nurses who are in residence at all times must dispense all prescription and over-the-counter medication.  Please note: Camp Capers has fire ants and bees on the property.   Severe allergies must be noted on the Health History form.

Camper Mail/Email:

Mail is very important to your camper, especially those who are away from home for the first time.  Once your camper arrives at camp, you may email your camper each day if you like.  Emails are checked Monday - Friday at 9:00 a.m. Do not send after 9:00 a.m. on the last full camp day of the session.

  1. Go to the Ultracamps Website and login, click here
  2. On the left side there will be icons that say "Upcoming Sessions, Photo Gallery and Email a camper." Click on "Email a Camper."
  3. There is NOT a charge for sending emails.
  4. For friends and other family to email your child, they need to be invited by the parents. If they sign up on their own, they will not be linked to your child's account and therefore not have access. Parents of campers must go in their account and click, "Create a Friend Account." An email will be sent with step by step directions to the guests you have invited.
