Vocare

Vocare – From the Latin word meaning “to call”
Vocare is a spiritual formation and renewal ministry focused on discerning spiritual vocation. It takes place over the course of a weekend at either Camp Capers or Mustang Island. Vocare acknowledges that we are all merely pilgrims on our spiritual journey and with spiritual guidance from priest, peers and staff, participants are encouraged to examine their own callings through a series of talks, reflection, discussions, fellowship and worship.

In the Episcopal Church, Happening Weekends are for high school students, Cursillo Weekends are for adults and Vocare Weekends are for college and young adults. The weekend is different from the other two because of its unique focus on the life and experiences of college and young adult life.

Vocare Logoo

Vocare is the Latin word meaning "to call" and is a renewal movement for college and young adults. The weekend is designed to help you connect with God and discover a new community of your peers while in a relaxed, fun and loving atmosphere. Vocare is also a once-in-a-lifetime experience that gives those who attend a desire to understand and serve the Church. The DWTX hosts one Vocare each year, so don't miss out.
