Evangelism
The bulk of the work of the Department of Evangelism is currently carried out by funding a portion of the Cursillo program. More than 225 Cursillo weekends have been held in the Diocese of West Texas since the program was introduced in the early 1970's. Four three-day Cursillo weekends are held each year, two at Camp Capers and two at the Mustang Island Conference Center. Participants on each weekend include, on average, 30 candidates and 30 team members.
