Volunteers are operating a donations warehouse and ditribution center, as well as providing emergency shelter and food/water to evacuees and firefighters. Monetary donations to the church would help defray costs for them, and help them assist those affected by the fire.

Volunteer Fire Department Emergency Assitance Fund
100% of proceeds go to VFDs for grants for firefighting expenses. Donations are tax deductible - You can earmark donations for specifc departments. Please remember the Heart of the Pines VFD. 20 of the 24 volunteers in their department lost their homes in the Bastrop/Smithville fires, as they were out fighting to save other people's homes.

Texas Wildfire Relief Fund - Provides awareness and support for Texas Volunteer Firefighters
Volunteer firefighters are the frontline of defense in most of these wildfires. 86 percent of volunteer firefighters spend their own money to purchase firefighting equipment.
