Events and Announcements for Your Church Bulletins Remember, there are various events around the diocese that your church needs to know about. Please visit our Special Events page for diocesan-sponsored events, and our Church and Other Events page for other announcements and points of interest. The diocesan spiritual formation blog, ReflectionsOnline, will offer some recommendations of resources for your 2012 spiritual formation plan – online Bible studies, spiritual formation websites, blogs, apps for your smart phone, and more. We invite you to check them out, take what you like, and leave the rest. Throughout the year, we’ll be posting reflections regularly with a special Lenten series beginning February 22, Ash Wednesday. The 108th Diocesan Council will be February 16-18, 2012, at the McAllen Convention Center. Please visit our Council website, council-dwtx.org, for a wealth of information. Online registration is available for all attendees: clergy, delegates, clergy spouses, and visitors, etc. Follow the link above to register. Episcopal Relief & Development (ERD) is pleased to announce that both the print and electronic versions of its 2012 Lenten Meditations will be available in English and Spanish. Co-authored by a group of Episcopal Church leaders from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives, this year’s devotional booklet focuses on how Christians can work to promote health and fight disease while preparing their own lives for healing during the Lenten season.
