TMI junior chosen for Navy summer seminar

Jessica Cox, a junior at TMI Episcopal, has been selected to attend the U.S. Naval Academy Summer Seminar, a program held in June on the Naval Academy campus in Annapolis, Md.

tmi-cox-navy.pngThe summer seminar introduces prospective applicants to life at the Naval Academy, including academic, athletic and professional training. Participants live on campus and receive instruction from Naval Academy faculty and midshipmen (current students).

 At TMI, Cox is a member of the National Honor Society. In the Texas Military Institute Corps of Cadets, she is a staff sergeant who has served as First Sergeant of Delta Company. As captain of the women’s varsity swim team, she placed second in the 100 breast and third in the 200 individual medley at this year’s Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) state meet.
