St. Luke's School and the Spurs Team Up Challenge

This academic year Good Samaritan Community Services has been blessed with St. Luke's Episcopal School (SLES), San Antonio, and its partnership with Silver & Black Give Back in the Team Up Challenge. This partnership gave SLES the funds to provide supplies for its middle school students to help with landscaping and painting projects on Good Sam's campus in San Antonio and at the homes of some of our senior clients.

Silver & Black Give Back is the nonprofit partner of the San Antonio Spurs Sports and Entertainment family of teams. The Team Up Challenge is sponsored by Silver & Black Give Back and is a youth-led service program that allows students to apply what they are learning in the classroom to the real world, bringing education alive in powerful ways.

SLES is up to win an additional $20,000 from the Team Up Challenge. You can vote for SLES and help them continue their partnership with Good Samaritan Community Services.

This video is a powerful account of how this project has impacted the school community and one of its eight graders.
